How do children develop tooth decay?

A baby can develop tooth decay at a very early stage: from falling asleep either with their feeding bottle in their mouth (containing a sweetened drink), or immediately after breastfeeding from their mother. This type of decay occurs up to four months of age. It can be avoided by checking your child’s teeth every month for any stains or teeth that appear darker than others. If you notice any of the above, arrange an appointment with a dentist as soon as possible – decay must be treated quickly before it develops into infection and toothache.
Just like you, we also have children and know how much parents worry about their children’s health! Our team will make every effort to ensure that your child’s experience of visiting the dentist is a positive one. Our aim is to help your child grow into an adult who visits the dentist regularly, and who is not afraid of doing so!
