Treatments offered in reconstructive dentistry
Dr Cantillo and his team offer various reconstructive dental treatments, including:
- Dental implants
- Full or partial denture fittings
- Bridges and crowns, etc.
Whatever the treatment, we make every effort to achieve the perfect result you expect from us.
To provide an even better level of service, our team takes care of patients in three languages – French, English and Spanish – so that every appointment will be tailored to each patient’s needs.
Comfortable, effective and long-lasting, ceramic crowns and bridges preserve both your natural smile and your dental health. The dentist uses a ceramic crown when a single tooth needs to be reconstructed. Instead of extracting it, the dentist replaces only the damaged part of the natural tooth in such a way that its appearance remains the same as the original tooth. In the case of fitting a ceramic dental bridge, the damaged tooth needs to be completely replaced instead of being reconstructed. To do this, the dentist sculpts a bridge consisting of the teeth adjacent to the missing tooth, which supports the adjoining replacement denture. Contact our team to find out more about ceramic crowns and bridges, and to get a personalised assessment.
A partial denture is used when several teeth are missing and adjacent teeth do not provide firm enough support for a dental bridge to be fitted. This artificial denture consists of several artificial teeth, held in place by hooks that the dentist attaches to adjacent healthy teeth. It can be removed for cleaning as appropriate. A full set of dentures is used when no natural teeth remain in the mouth. It is removable, and is held in place by means of suction. It is strongly recommended to consult a dentist, who will be able to make the correct adjustments to ensure that the denture is placed in the mouth in such a way that pain is avoided - depending on the type of denture chosen. When one or several teeth are missing, it's important to have them replaced to maintain your oral health. One option for tooth replacement is a dental implant. Their natural appearance and optimum level of comfort mean that dental implants can not only replace missing roots, but also support replacement teeth. Made of titanium or titanium alloy, a dental implant is an artificial root that the dentist embeds in the jawbone, and which forms a base to hold the artificial tooth in place. It's essential to be in a good state of health to receive a dental implant. To find out more about the procedure, arrange an appointment with our team. We'll give you a personalised assessment, so we can offer you the service that is most suitable for your needs.
It wouldn’t seem the obvious choice to set up a surgery in a premises occupied by another medical professional for several years. However, in the case of Dr Cantillo’s clinic, the transition has worked very well. The premises has been freshly renovated, and a warm and relaxed welcome awaits you. If you arrive early for your appointment, there is wireless access for patients to pass the time. Perfect! Then Dr Cantillo arrives, and welcomes you with a handshake and a smile. Dr Cantillo is a true health professional. He takes time to listen to the patient, considers possible options and suggests the most appropriate treatments. He has won my complete trust, and I hope he will carry on practising in this part of town for many years to come.
Dr Cantillo’s clinic was recommended to me by someone who’d just had a dental implant operation there. I was impressed by the quality of the results I saw, and after paying a visit to the clinic, I chose Dr Cantillo to carry out my own implants. The results exceeded my expectations, both in quality of care and state-of-the-art medical equipment. On each visit, I received a warm welcome from all the members of staff.
